started, 20 pages in. nothing to report. we'll hear more next time. 

brandon - camouflage, joe haldeman
generally, not super impressed. decent writing. didn't seem cohesive on a
large scale.

matt - spaceman blues, brian francis slattery
liked it, highly recommended

chad - light & nova swing, m john harrison
liked both, very highly recommended

chris - shriek: an afterword, jeff vandermeer
definitely fantasy, fantastic world as opposed to extrapolation from today.
but no magic or anything. highly reommended:
"all the stuff about the mushroom people is really interesting, and actually,
so is everything else."
liked it despite not really liking the writer.

adam - the mirror prince, violette malan
literally the first conforming fantasy novel encountered, in alphabetical 
order. what you'd expect from cheesy fantasy, but entertaining.
enjoyable, but not highly recommended.
